Learn how to get
a perfect
installation.

Storage
The wooden floor must be stored in places free from moisture by respecting the following values: ambient himidity 45%-60% and temperature 10°C - 23°C.

Before installation make sure that:
- the ambient temperature is between 10°C and 25°C
- are already installed Windows, the place has already been painted
- the plumbing and heating systems have already been performed
- in very heated and dry environments are not recommended for high shrinkage woods.

Mounting interface
The substrate must be clean, dry and healthy. The relative humidity must not exceed 2% in the case of cement screed and 0.5% in that of anhydrite. Make sure that you have installed the vapor barrier. In the presence of existing floors such as ceramic or marble, check its status; the surface should be gripping and if necessary apply an insulator before laying.
In case of floating installation fix before laying a different types of floor mats for acuoustic insulation with minimum thickness of 2 mm.

Adhesives
Only use water suitable free glues depending on the wooden floor and the substrate, in the case of floating installation the glue must have resistance against moisture. Sanded or brushed the floor requires the intervention of finish as soon as possibleand no later than the 8-10 days elepse.
Verification
After laying the floor you should always check that the relative humidity is constant, between 45% and 60%, to prevent the natural formation of crevice or collapsing systems.
It is also advisable, with heated floors, install a humidifier for better moisture management relating to the environment.

The screed is the superficial part of the medium in which you perform the installation of the floor. Can be of different materials and characteristics depending on the type of installation (glued, nailed or floating).
The slab must be uniform to avoid chapping and cracking. Must always be installedover a vapor barrier so as to isolate it.

The cement screed
Consist of a cement and mineral aggregate, all mixed with water and any additives. The usual dose is 300 kg of cement per m³ 5%, water below the sand. At time of installation must be well compacted so that so that the surface is as smooth as possible.

The anhydride screed
Is composed of a mixture of natural and synthetic aggregates based on carbon andcalcium carbonate. What makes this type of screed in hardening in very short time and normal thickness is less than 5 cm.

The installation

The installation

For an optimal installation operators and technicians must take into account both environmental humidity of the substrate, the amount of floor laying using appropriate products to any type of floor.
The laying of the flooring can begin only when the following conditions are met:
  • the exterior doors must be installed with its glasses and locals to floor must be protected from element;
  • should already have been put down your other types of flooring;
  • more masonary, sanitary fittings and finishes must be completed;
  • the temperature of the premises must be greater than or equal to 15°C;
  • the humdity must be between 45% and 60%;
  • conditions of support have been verified and the support is conform and fit for laying
  • the flooring-heating cycle has been made in the case of heating floors.
After installation of the flooring are allowed the installation of interior doors and the eventual last coat of paint on the walls.

Floating installation
Is performed only with two or three layers beacuse it is large and stable. Before laying the planks, is spread a vapor barrier (where necessary) and a mat with thermal and acoustic insulation properties. The whole is fixed with a thin layer of moisture resistant glue, applied at the joints.
This type of installation in suitable for any type of substrate, beacause it allows you toplace the new floor without removing or damaging the pre-existent.

Stick-down installation
Before laying the floor, humidity should be closely controlled. The entire process is about 20/30 days depending on the type of wood.
We proceed to mounting boards by expert fitters with specifications for flooring and free of water. Once you have finished the first stage, the parquet is left at least 10 days rest, so as to allow the normal and natural settling of the staves.
Then we proceed to the filling of the entire surface so as not to leave any gaps created by the bedding. Now the work begins to counterbore or sanding with special machines that allow you to smooth the surface of the floor and make it as smooth as possible for painting. You can now begin the final process of lacquering; background starting hand is stretched out the necessary wood pore closure and will allow in the future not to absorb any external agent.
After the bottom, switching to apply two coats of paint (depending on the customer request matte or semigloss) leading to the end of work and the end of work and the success there of.

Installation on heated screed
Complete curing of the slab and after measuring humidity, heating shall be the sam for at least 2-3 weeks increasing the temperature gradually until you get to a maximum temperature of 35°C and boil for about 2 weeks. The implant is then turned off 4/5 days prior to installation. After installing the floor heating system should turn slowly to avoid any form of stress of wood; however, bear in mind that in the floor can be formed of small cracks in the heating period. We recommend the use of humidifiers or dehumidifiers to keep humidity levels recommended schemes regulations (45% - 60%). The system temperature must not exceed 35°C.
